Global Sanctuary for Elephants exists to help captive elephants live the most natural lives possible. We provide the elephants in our care with vast, open space; the companionship of a herd; and a physically and mentally stimulating environment. We have a vision for the future where captive elephants around the world find the care and autonomy that they deserve — and we work with organizations all over the world to facilitate that change.

The Brazilian Elephant Sanctuary Association (SEB) is a non-profit civil society organization that rescues captive elephants at risk, providing them with the space, conditions, and care they need to recover physically and emotionally from years spent in captivity. The sanctuary is located in the municipality of Chapada dos Guimarães, Mato Grosso. SEB is a collaboration between the Brazilian Elephant Sanctuary Association (SEB) and two renowned international elephant advocacy and research organizations: ElephantVoices and Global Sanctuary for Elephants.
